While Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's highly-publicized romance has left football fans and Swifties divided on where they stand, Katy Perry, for one, confirmed that she's Team Traylor.
This weekend, Swift and Kelce were spotted strolling into the Saturday Night Live afterparty hand-in-hand (their first public outing together as a couple), which ignited a full-on internet frenzy. Amongst the fervor, Perry shared her thoughts on the pair's newfound relationship in the comments section of Vogue's Instagram post.
"I ship," Katy wrote in response to a slideshow of paparazzi photos of Swift and Kelce out and about, engaging in PDA. Almost immediately, the singer's supportive message was met with a wave of appreciation from fans. "It's nice to see a positive response!" one wrote, while another added, "She's so real for that."
Katy's support of Taylor is particularly notable given their rocky past. Back in 2014, Swift revealed that her song "Bad Blood" was about another woman in the music industry, which many assumed was Perry. The feud that began over backup dancers would continue for years until they reconciled in June 2019 when Perry appeared in Swift's music video for her song "You Need to Calm Down."

The next year, Perry spoke about their rekindled friendship during an interview with Howard Stern. "What I'm so grateful for is that we did get to make up and we made up publicly to be an example of redemption," she said, adding: “It's hard for young girls, growing up [with] cliques and high school and pettiness and all that stuff, so now we're super friendly and I've always wanted the best for her and we can talk about the best we want for each other."
